State Science Assessment Information

• Date Established: Illinois Learning Standards were first assessed for science in 2000
• Grades Tested: 4, 7, and 11
• Time of Year: early March (ISAT, grades 4,7) and end of April (PSAE, grade 11)
• Type of Assessment: 82 multiple choice items for ISAT. 30 of those are SAT 10 items. 85 multiple choice items for PSAE. 40 items from ACT Science (Day 1) and 45 multiple choice items from Illinois-developed portion (Day 2).
